      • If it's wireless why are there wire leads shown in the picture of the license plate system?

        The transmitter and IR lights require power to operate. There is no way for a transmitter to transmit the video signal without power. The cables you see on the camera are 12v red/black cables to power the IR lights and transmitter. Then it is wireless from there to the LCD. Every wireless camera for car/truck of any kind requires power.
